Notice of Public Hearing
Please take note that during its regularly scheduled public meeting on September 2, 2008, the Board of Education of the New East Jordan School District will hold a public hearing pursuant to Utah Code § 53A-3-202 to consider the adoption of a board compensation schedule.

| PLACE: | Jordan School District Administration Building 9361 South 300 East Sandy, Utah 84070 |
| PURPOSE: | The purpose of the meeting is to receive public input from interested persons regarding the Board’s proposal to adopt as its own compensation schedule the compensation schedule currently used by the Board of Education of Jordan School District. A copy of that schedule may be obtained by calling 567-8165 or by going to: www.jordantransition.org. |
| PROCEDURE: | Interested persons may sign up to speak at the board meeting, up to 15 minutes after the start of the meeting. Individuals are limited to 3 minutes and groups 5 minutes. |
At the conclusion of the public hearing the Board may take a final vote on its compensation schedule.
Current Board Member Compensation
Board member compensation for the current Jordan School District Board of Education members is $1,000 per month plus Preferred health insurance plan (family coverage) benefits paid by the District.
